In 2017 ShoppingTomorrow, Thuiswinkel and Ecommerce Foundation organized their fifth study trip.
The trip took place from 24-29 September 2017. The destination was New York, a place where big retailers, start-ups and tech companies come together in a vibrant city.
The objective was to discover the latest trends, innovations, tech and to have renewing omni-channel experiences.
We visited several kinds of companies:
Silicon Alley: Geometric Intelligence (big data), Backtrace (debugging technology), Digital Boulevard (Multi-Channel Video Agency.) etc.
Store experiences & Flag ships: Amazon, Nike, Barney’s (clienteling app), Apple, Rebecca Mirkoff (connected wall) Lego, Macy’s (VR), Ralph Lauren, Steven Madden, Modabox (personalized shopping), etc.
Tech start-ups: Juno (ride-sharing), Kit (start-up studio), Burrow (couching), Add structure (conversational commerce), etc.
Headquarters: E-Trade (financial technology), American Express, KFC (food retailer), Tiffany & co (jewelry) etc.
